On July 22, 2025, the Gdansk Educational Foundation signed Agreement No. MEN/2025/DK/406 with the State Treasury, represented by the Minister of Education, regarding the implementation of the task entitled “Astronomical Full-moon of Education.” The task is financed by the Minister of Education under the “ODKRYWCY” program.
The main goal of the project is to support the education system by disseminating, popularizing, developing curiosity, and emphasizing the importance of science, especially space science, among children and youth in the Pomeranian Voivodeship in 2025.
We plan to achieve this by: preparing and organizing daytime and evening astronomy classes for students, preparing and organizing field events related to astronomy, preparing and organizing a training for teachers in the use of a portable telescope and a two-stage training for teachers in the use of the Stellarium program (which is used to realistically simulate the appearance of the starry sky), as well as preparing and organizing evening astrophotography workshops for students in the Pomeranian Voivodeship.
